Residents of Surulere in Lagos woke up to the news of a suspected thief laying on his knees in an alleged attempt to steal electrical wires from a transformer.
It was gathered that a gang of thieves stole the transformer cable about a week ago and the Electric Distribution Company fixed it.
Unbeknown to the suspected thieves, they were of the idea the cables had not been connected yet so they returned to their mission to steal the new cables. They crept in into the vicinity in the late hour of the night to get their job done.
It was quite unfortunate that one of the thieves was caught by the electrical current that made him bend the knee while the other accomplices took to their heels.
Meanwhile, Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis Gospel Church International, DGCI, has refuted claims that his church was attacked by some armed robbers.
Recall that it was reported in the news that some armed men invaded a branch of the church in Bwari Area Council and attacked worshippers.
According to the clergyman, the people peddling the news that his church was attacked should be very cautious of their utterances about the church or risk hellfire. He called the reports as lies and advised his people to not give ear to such negative reports.
He said, “There was demonic news that someone drew my attention to saying that a devil’s church, not this church was invaded and worshippers were attacked by armed men.
“We live in a world that is striving on lies especially on social media. I don’t know if 80 to 90 percent of the news there is true. We also live in a world where people anticipate evil for others. From a rooted heart of bitterness, all manner of anything, the wickedness of heart, continuously expecting evil new.
