WAEC Gives Update On The Release 2022 BECE School Results.

WAEC has given its deadline for the release of the 2022 BECE School results however in an earlier publication by GhanaEducationNews, we projected that the West African Examination Council was going to release results by 5th December or 23rd December 2022 depending on how WAEC counts the 45 days after the exam. We added that if the results are not released due to the festive season, they would be out the following year.

What is the WAEC given deadline for the release of the 2022 BECE School results?

Information gathered by us from a publication by AcademicWeek.com has indicated that “Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is expected to release 2022 BECE School results within 75 days” according to intel from a staff of the Council.

So if you calculate every day one-by-one for Seventy-five days, you will find that it would be January 05, 2023. Thus, the 2022 BECE results would be released by WAEC on or before this date.

What happens after the release of the BECE School results?

The results once released will also ensure that the Free SHS Secretariat gets the needed data, which is the raw score and aggregate of each candidate for the purposes of placing them in one of the six schools they selected for consideration. 

According to the publication by AcademicWeek.com sighted by GhanaeEducation.org, “After ending the conduct of the 2022 BECE for School on October 21, 2022, the Examinations Council is expected to release the examination results within 75 days, after, the computer school placement will be out,” he stated.

In a related development, the 2022 BECE school choice selection for private candidates who sat for the examination will start on Monday 14th November 2022, and end on Monday, 28th November 2022 across the country. In a communiqué by WAEC through the Ghana Education Service (GES).

It is the hope of all candidates, both school and private that, they will do well in the just ended BECE and be placed in one of their favourate schools for their secondary education at the Senior High School level.

What may happen to 2022 BECE candidates who miss the automatic school placement?

Candidates who miss the automatic placement may be given a second chance to use the self-placement module to choose a school, a programme, and accommodation. However, the possibility of a candidate not being placed and not getting the chance to do the self-placement is also a possibility in instances where the candidate obtained a grade of 9 in either Integrated Science or Mathematics.
