The heart is an important organ in the human body. Foods we eat play an essential role in benefiting the heart health. But the only problem is that a lot of people don’t know these foods that are bad for the heart health and the ones that could really cause serious harm to heart health.

 

So in this article, I am going to be talking about foods you should stop eating in excess, they can cause serious damage to brain health.

1. Foods rich in Sugar

Foods rich in sugar include things like soda, junk food or table sugar. Eating these foods in excess could lead to higher risk of dementia and other brain related health conditions.

Studies show that increase in sugar could cause brain inflammation, thereby causing impairing memory and learning. Research suggest that if you want to take these types of food, make sure you consume them in tiny quantities.

2. Food that are high in Trans Fat

 

Trans fat is another food that is bad for health. It is associated with impaired memory and increase a person’s risk of Alzheimer disease.

It is best you cut out trans fat completely from your diet and focus more on unsaturated fats.

3. Processed foods

Processed foods are another type of food you should also reduce intake of. According to research, they increase the level of fats in the organs, which lead to decline in brain tissues.

Research suggest that you also remove them from your diet, but if you must eat them, it should be the last option.

4. Artificial sweeteners

Artificial sweeteners are products added to certain drinks and also used in preparation of tea as well. It has been linked to behavioural and cognitive problems, but they are generally regarded as safe products.

5. Alcohol

While taking alcohol in small quantities has positive side effects on the body. It could lead to memory loss and behavioural changes when taken in excess.
