A serious fight erupted at the African Union Parliament in South Africa on Monday, June 1, 2021.
The fight happened as the various representatives from all African countries failed to come to an agreement on the process to elect the President of the parliament.
Since the formation of the Parliament in 2004, no Southern African country has produced a President of the house.
The Southern African members have had enough of it and suggested that the Presidency should be on a rotation basis from one regional block to the other.
The West Africans disagreed as they viewed the suggestion from the Southern African countries as un-democratic.
