As the funeral of late Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as ‘Sir John’ is ongoing, his unique final resting place has sent tongues wagging.
The tomb, which is right beside the road can never be missed by anyone using the road. Located at the family cemetery, the tomb can easily pass for a self-contained building with a fence.
Until one is told, it would be very difficult for anyone to think that the building is not meant for living beings but rather the final resting place of someone.
Beautiful as it may look, one may wonder if the money used for such a structure could have been directed to something which could have benefited the living.
On the other hand, some may argue that it is befitting for someone of such a status considering his contribution in national matters.
Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie passed away last year from complications believed by many related to the Covid-19 virus. His passing came as a shock to many as he seemed to be strong all along.
