Some children, youths and adults are often embarrassed when they discover that they have unconsciously urinated on the bed or on their body.
The youths and children often outgrow this, while it may continue in adults especially elderly persons due to aging or some underlying conditions. This inability to control urine by adults is medically known as Nocturnal Enuresis.
CAUSES
According to a publication by WebMD, the following are some of the reasons why this condition occurs;
– When your Kidney produces more quantities of urine than normal and the bladder is not able to keep it.

– Medications such as sleeping pills, Clozaril, etc can irritate the bladder causing it to empty itself.
– Some conditions that may affect a person’s ability to store or hold urine such as bladder cancer, prostate cancer, diseases of the brain, spine, etc.
– Seizures
– Diabetes
– Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
– Pelvic organ relapse.
– Urinary Tract Infections, etc.
