A second-year student of Akrokeri Senior High Technical School Richard Donkor popularly known as Owuo has committed suicide in his room at Bobrase a farming community near Akrokeri in the Fomena in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region.
The unfortunate incident which is believed to have occurred on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, around 7 pm has thrown family members, friends and people of Bobrase into a state of shock and mourning.
A resident and neighbour of the 20-year-old deceased Junior Tierro who confirmed the unfortunate incident in an interview with Pure Fm’s Osei Kwadwo said, Owuo was found hanging inside his room after a serious search for him by his parents and family members.
According to Junior Tierro, the deceased has attempted suicide on several occasions because he always complained about the bad treatment being meted to him by his parents and family.
“The deceased parents were searching for him to come for his food in the evening. They went to knock at his door but they realized that the door had been locked. When they broke into the room they saw the lifeless body of Owuo hanging”. He revealed
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Obuasi Government morgue by Akrokeri Police who visited the scene and confirmed when MyNewsGh.com reached out to them.
The Akrotiri Police Command has since commenced investigation into the matter.
