A man believed to be in his early 30s has been allegedly killed and dumped in river Okrudu at America-Town, a suburb of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.
The cause of his death is not immediately known but a physical examination of his body showed he was mercilessly beaten to death and later dumped in the river.
There were bloodstains on his body with the left hand broken.
A resident who lives in the same vicinity as the deceased said he left home without informing anyone around 3 pm hours on Thursday, July 15, 2021
Later the same day, around 7 pm the news broke of his sudden death which shocked all.
Mr Kwame Amoah, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr Shadrack Boakye Yiadom, the Assemblyman for the area and some police personnel visited the crime scene.
For his part, Mr Yiadom appealed to the police to intensify their patrols to stop the activities of criminal terrorizing residents.
The police had since sent the body of the deceased to the police hospital in Accra for autopsy and for further investigations.
