The Ghana Health Service has given out the important symptoms of the Monkeypox disease indicating that if anyone see any of these symptoms, he or she should report immediately to the nearest health facility.
According to the Ghana Health Service, the disease takes between 5 to 21 days to start showing symptoms if you come into contact with an infected person. They also outlined the following typical symptoms:
Fever, headache, body ache, weakness, swelling of lymph nodes.
Again, the fever is followed by the development of skin rashes that show within 1-3 days. The rashes can range from few to thousands and it can develop on the hands, feet, the entire body, genital areas and others.
The service also wants the general public to protect themselves by avoiding contact with animals that harbour the virus and also avoid eating such meats. Personal hygiene plays a key role in preventing the disease.
