These towns; just like others around the world, is made up of clean and serene environment, suitable for human living. In this article, we present to you one of the Most Serene and Beautiful towns in Ghana, which is also well known around the world.

A Serene and Beautiful town, means an area with clean environments; an area that is void of any form of pollution and its effect. Hence it could be an environment that has clean air, clean water, and clean energy. In a simple term, a clean and serene town is a healthy and safe environment for human living.

One of the most serene, beautiful, clean and peaceful towns in Ghana is Akosombo.

Akosombo, which is also known as the ‘Dam City’, is a small town in the Asuogyaman District, of the Eastern Region of Ghana. The town is known in Ghana and around the world for its tourist sites like the the Adomi Bridge at Atimpoku, the Dodi Island, and the Akosombo Hydro Electric Dam.

The town which is a two hour drive from Accra, was designed in 1961 by Greece Urbanist Constantino, to house the officials of the Volta River Authority.

The streets in Akosombo are named after Some African Countries like Congo, Namibia, Lagos-town, Freetown etc. It is preoccupied by people of diverse ethnic background like the Akans, Ewe, Krobo and other ethics.

The little town; Akosombo is known to be very peaceful, serene, clean, calm and quiet. The people living in Akosombo are well behaved, and lives in peace and harmony with mutual respect for each other.
