Report convened has it that General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu has eventually reacted to allegation that he is involved in Galamsey.
Per what our portal gathered, Mr. John Boadu has however, denied such allegations leveled against him.
There were reports suggesting that John Boadu is one of the galamsey kingpins who needs to be dealt with if the President of Ghana is serious about the fight against the menace.
According to MyNewsGh.com’s report, while speaking on Accra-based Net2TV in an interview, John Boadu denied the allegations been leveled against his person and has said that people making such allegations will be taken on.
He said he has been on the President’s cabinet since the party came to power and will be worrying that he is aware of how dear the fight is to the President and will be adamant about it to engage in it.
John Boadu in the interview, indicated that he is been linked with galamsey because a brother of one of his staff is into mining.
But indicated that the fact that the boy is in his office does not necessarily link him to be involved in the menace of illegal mining.
“What kind of thinking is this? I don’t engage in galamsey. There is a boy I picked from the University of Ghana whose twin brother is into mining. So because Abanga is into mining, it does it automatically mean I am linked with it? No, so you don’t have any case,” he said on Net2TV in an interview.
