A Ghanaian landlord has been severely beaten by his tenant after he caught him half-naked with his wife in the bedroom.
The incident occurred in Bibiani-Hwenaampori, in the Western North Region of Ghana. The landlord, identified only as Isaac, is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
According to adomonline.com, the tenant, Amos Gyamfi, had rented a single room for his wife, who is a nursing mother. While he was away in another municipality, his wife complained of feeling unwell.
He decided to visit her and their baby but was shocked to find the landlord in his wife’s company when he knocked on the door. Despite receiving a hint from the landlord’s nephew that his wife was present, the knocks went unanswered.
Suspicious of the landlord’s behavior, Gyamfi forced open the door and caught the landlord and his wife in a compromising position.
He dragged them out in their half-naked state before mercilessly beating the landlord, who fell unconscious. He was rushed to the Bibiani Government Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
In a separate incident in Abura Dunkwa, in the Central Region of Ghana, angry residents lynched a former prison officer. The man, who had been sacked from the Ghana Prison Service for alleged criminal conduct, was accused of stealing cooking utensils and building materials.
Before his arrest by the residents over the stolen cooking utensils, he had stolen building materials from a nearby shop, which he had hidden somewhere. He led the residents to where he had kept the items and handed them over.
However, the angry mob was not satisfied and proceeded to strip him naked and beat him severely.
Officers from the Abura Dunkwa Police Station arrived just in time to save him from the angry residents. He was taken into custody to assist in an investigation into the matter, and the stolen materials were returned to their respective owners.
