The immediate past Chairman of the Church Of Pentecost, Apostle Professor Opoku Nyinah has sent a strong warning to pastors in the church who are part of the LGBTQI group.
According to him, the Church of Pentecost will not hesitate to take very biting disciplinary measures against any pastor who is unwilling to refrain from such activities.
Speaking in an interview on Sunday Night on Asaase Radio on August 22, Prof Opoku Nyinah said that pastors who are found in such an act will be offered the opportunity to be reformed.
With this, he said that they will have the chance to go through all the necessary reformation process after which they will be reinstated to the official position if the church finds out that they turned from their ways.
He however said that pastors who refuse to be helped and are insistent on engaging in this practice will have to face the consequences thereof.
“As a church, we won’t accept it because there must be discipline in the church”,he said.
He explained that the church cannot allow persons involved in such acts to lead people under the guise of being pastors.
Also, he expressed his full support for the Private member’s bill because as a country we must take prudent measures to protect our culture from alien practices adding that such practices do not also align with the word of God.
