The Anglican Church of Ghana has begun an investigation into a viral video of a Priest kissing some students of the St Monica’s College of Education in the Ashanti Region.
A video of an Anglican Priest kissing students during a Sunday service has gone viral on social media.
Information gathered by MyNewsGh.com indicates that the Priest shared the kisses with the students after handing out some gifts to them.
But a statement from the Anglican Church indicates that a thorough investigation has started to bring the issue to rest.
However, the Church said it has been saddened by the video.
“The Church is saddened by the news and wishes to state expressly that, a thorough investigation has immediately been instituted into the matter and the action of the said Priest would be dealt with in accordance with the norms and values of the Anglican Communion where morality is extremely revered in the Church”, the church said in an August 17 statement.
Meanwhile, “…all efforts are being made to engage the students concerned through counselling sessions to avert any psychological issues that may arise at a result of the viral video”.
