Report convened has it that the Chiefs, Elders and people of Mprim in the Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region woke up on Tuesday 1st June, 2021, only to be greeted with bad news.
The incident has left the residents in a state of shock and mourning as a beloved one untimely joined the ancestral world.
A twenty-nine year-old man called Anokye Kwame has been murdered by his own friend. The alleged murderer (friend) of the deceased’s name was only given as Malik.
Eye witness accounts reveal there was a misunderstanding between two friend in the early hours Monday. This resulted in a heavy fight between them.
They were separated by those people around but Malik could not control his anger and went a pairs scissors. He stabbed Anokye Kwame A.K.A Okomfo Rootman in the stomach with the scissors.
Okomfo Rootman was quickly rushed to hospital for treatment. The health workers quickly attended to him and were able stop the bleeding for sometime. He eventually gave up in the late hours of Monday, 31st May, 2021.
The anrgy youth of the town (Mprim) have been searching for since as he has taken to his heels.
