As a normal healthy man, your body should produce between 15 million to more than 200 million sperms in every milliliter (ml) of semen. A man is said to have a low sperm count (lsc) if he has less than 15 million or less than 39 million sperm in every milliliter of semen when he ejaculates. Lsc does not harm the man’s health however, it may make it impossible for him to father a child.

So, therefore, you should seek medical help if you think you have this problem. Medical specialists have discovered that there are certain habits men can cultivate which help their bodies produce more sperm. In this article, I’ll like to briefly educate you about these habits according to Healthline

1. You should get quality sleep daily

As a man, you must make it a priority to get at least 7 to 9 hours of quality sleep every night. Men who go to bed late, and spend too little or too much time sleeping have higher chances of having LSC

2. Exercise to shed off extra weight

Being overweight or obese has been linked to causing reduced quality and quantity of sperm in a man’s semen. This is why you must engage in exercise (not too intensive) to lose weight healthily if you are obese

3. Add more antioxidants to your diet

Vitamin C and E, selenium, and lycopene are common examples of antioxidants you should add to your diet regularly. These natural plant components have been researched to protect sperm cells and prevent damage. Some fruits like apples are rich in antioxidants.
