Report convened by PAULLINGUAL.COM has it that parents and their children should expect BECE school placement starting from today.

According to educationweb report, a staff of the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) has said candidates should expect the release of the ‘delayed’ 2020 BECE school placement from Wednesday, February 24, 2021.

The CSSPS official who spoke to Educationweb.com.gh on condition of anonymity said adequate measures have been put in place to ensure a difficulty-free BECE school placement of both private and public candidates.

He attributed the delay of the school placement to the unexpected outbreak and a sudden rise in the country’s locally transmitted coronavirus cases.

The West African Examinations Council in a purported message sighted by Educationweb.com.gh to its agents (i.e internet cafe operators) also indicated the SHS placement will be released from February 24, 2021.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Education Service (GES) in a statement on Sunday urged candidates, parents, stakeholders and members of the general public to remain calm as it works tirelessly to ensure a difficulty-free placement.

The spokeswoman for the Service in the letter said her outfit is setting a call centres across the country to address the BECE school placement related issues or challenges to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) earlier announced to release the SHS placement last week Sunday but amid some technical hitches, it postponed the release date to Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
