It is time for you to learn something about dreams, why you keep forgetting them whenever you wake up.

It will be correct for me to say that most, if not all, people on earth have dreamt before but the ability to recall it vary among individuals.

A dream, therefore, is a series of thoughts, images, or sensations that occur in the mind during sleep. Dreams are often triggered by sequenced electrical patterns and chemical activity in the brain while asleep.

One thing that almost every dream expert agrees on is the rapid eye movement (REM) as one major factor when it comes to dreaming. REM is the sleep stage in which dreams happen, and gives you your ability to remember those dreams once you wake up. Anything that disrupts REM can make you not to remember your dreams.

But if you struggle to remember your dreams, the following reasons or more could be the cause to your inability to remember your dreams easily.

First, the food you eat can hinder your ability to remember your dreams. Research has shown that eating foods such as fruits and vegetables, fibre, and limited vegetable oils can improve your ability to recall your dreams.

Secondly, stress also causes you not to remember your dreams as it disrupt and reduce your dream. If you get stress a lot, as most people do, it increases the number of awakenings during the night. Both of these things can make it harder to remember your dreams. Stress not only disrupt dreams, it can also lead to serious health problems in your body.
