Ghana is blessed with a lot of players who are born outside the country. Sometimes, it is difficult to persuade these foreign-born players to play for Ghana. Players like Jerome Boateng who won the world cup with Germany, Mario Bawuah Balotelli, George Boateng are among the top players who declined to play for Ghana. Despite the disregard of some of these players, there have been some great players who also chose to play for Ghana. Kevin Prince Boateng, the brother of Jerome Boateng, Adam Larson Kwarasay, and a host of other players.
Apparently, it seems the case of finding difficulty in convincing these young guys to represent Ghana is coming to an end. The world cup qualification has made the team so attractive that those who didn’t want to get near the team have shown so much interest. Tariq Lamptey, Antoine Semenyo and Inaki Williams have so far declared their full stance on playing for Ghana and it is certain they will play a key role in Coach Otto Addo’s plans.
After the wide jubilations of Inaki Williams commitment to play for the Black Stars, there is another good news. It has been revealed that a number of German-born players are willing to be in the team. They are: Patrick Pfiffer (SV Darmstadt 98), Stephan Ambrosius (Hamburger SV), Kwasi Okyere Wreidt (Holstein Kiel), Braydon Manu (SV Darmstadt 98), Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer (Hamburg).
The supporters are waiting to hear from the likes of Nico Williams, Edward Nketiah, Callum Hudson Odoi.
