BREAKING: Sarkodie ‘Arrested’ By Police for Trying to Register A Stolen Car

Sarkodie is in trouble—perhaps not so much, that’s if he did not know the car he tried to register was stolen.

The Ghanaian rapper is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Police Service for attempting to register a stolen car.

Sarkodie was ‘arrested by the police when he went to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) in Accra to register an Infiniti car, that happens to be stolen, JOY FM reports.

The website adds that ASP Joseph Obinifo Darkwah, Public Relations Officer of the CID has confirmed the arrest and has also stated that “the rapper has been granted bail and is assisting the police with investigations.”

SP Joseph Obinifo Darkwah said, “We invited him [Sarkodie] to the CID Headquarters involving a case in which he was a party to so he came with his lawyer yesterday [Wednesday] and he has been granted bail.”
