The Assemblymember for Juo/Jua Electoral area in the Nanumba North Municipal Assembly of the Northern Region Hon. Samuel Jagri Kofi has bemoans that the persistent robbery attacks on the commuters of his electoral area have negative effects on the people.
The Hon. Assemblymember said this on Radio Bimbilla 91.9mghz in Bimbilla on December 19, 2020 when he was hosted by Mr.Johnson Nayong.
According to the assemblyman, those robbery attacks mostly occur during the hours of 6 pm to 10 pm.
The robbers attack the people on the road, beat them up, and snatch their motorbikes and other properties.
The assembly member has disclosed that, he has reported the incidenses to the Municipal police Command to assist the community with police patrol team but his efforts all proved futile,he lamented that,both municipal assembly and the security seem not to care about the situation and due to that the commuters are now living in fear to move.
He hinted that the communities are planning to form local watchdogs to hunt the culprits since the security has left them to their fate.
